Today was such a beautiful day. It was still a little chilly but nothing a jacket couldn't take care of. I am so ready for the time change this weekend and some warm, spring weather. I love spring! Next to fall it's my favorite season. I love when all of the trees begin to grow leaves and everything is new. I've always wondered why spring isn't considered the "New Year." Ha, ha! Heather and Ginger came over for lunch and brought me and Grant a burger and fries from Burger in the Square downtown. Yummy! Thanks girls! You're the best! Then, this afternoon after Ginger and Heather went back to work me, Grant, and Tristen played in Grant's room for a little while and then I decided to take them for a walk. My new double stroller is awesome! It is so easy to take them places together. Heather and I have used it several times when we have gone to the mall. So, I put jackets on the boys, a hat on Grant, a blanket over Tristen's lap in his carrier and into the stroller they went. We live at the top of a little hill that is steeper than it looks. So, I wasn't too worried about getting down the hill to the flat road but was worried about pushing the stroller with the boys in it and lugging my big belly back up the hill.

Anyway, Tristen fell asleep as soon as I put him in his carrier and into the stroller, and Grant just kicked back and relaxed up front. We walked all the way down to the park near the ball field. I'll admit I was a little winded but it wasn't bad as long as I took it nice and slow. The fresh air was so nice! When we got to the park I put Grant in a swing and pushed him back and forth a few times. He seemed to like it at first but then he just wanted down so he could walk and explore. I was sure to take my camera so I could capture Grant's expressions as he looked at everything and played. It made me so happy that I could spend that time with him and take him to the park. I feel more and more blessed every day that I get to spend with him. We stayed for a few minutes and started our trip back home, the hike up the hill looming in the back of my mind the entire way. When we got close to the bottom of the hill Chris came driving down the street from work. Thankfully, he offered to push the boys up the hill and let me drive the car home. Yeah! What a man! When I passed him going up the hill he looked a little winded himself. He is almost 29 after all! Ha, ha!
The other night after Grant had had a bath and his pajamas on, he spotted his snow boots in the closet and insisted on putting them on. So, I let him walk around the house for a little with them on. It was hilarious! Chris took a good picture of him and I have it posted below. He makes us laugh so many times on a daily basis. The other picture is a one that Heather took the other night when Grant and Tristen were "switching seats." Aren't they so cute? Also, I had to post the picture of my baby boy in his new dress shirt and tie. He is so handsome!

Me and Ben are doing fine. I'm feeling pretty pregnant right now and am already getting anxious to get this whole process done and over with. Even though I feel ready to not be pregnant anymore, I don't know how ready I am to actually have two children. Eek! I have a doctor's appointment next week, which will be my last two week appointment. After that, I will have to go every week until Ben comes.
Here is a picture of Grant with his new flute that we purchased at Wal-Mart for $.88. He caught on pretty quickly how to blow into it to make it whistle, and then he wanted Chris and I to blow into it as well. Well, as you can imagine the amount of slobber that had been blown into this flute, we weren't about to touch that thing with our mouths. There was no way to avoid the constant flow of backwash. Yucky, I know. Ha, ha! So, he just happily tooted along for most of the evening and played with his cars.

I'll post again after my doctor's appointment next week. I'm sure there won't be anything too exciting going on, but I'll still update everyone. Plus, I'm sure by then I'll have some new stories to tell about Grant.
'Til then... bye!
