I'm ready for it to be autumn already. It has been so smothering hot for two weeks now... I'm ready for cooler weather. Autumn is my favorite time of year. Jeans, sweaters, leaves, pumpkins... I love it all. I can't wait!
I can hardly believe that Grant will be two years old next month. Can you hear my heart breaking? It's totally unbelievable that he is my little baby no more. So sad. He's definitely doing things like a big boy these days. He talks nonstop and we can understand so much more of what he is saying now. I like being able to communicate. We've had less meltdowns now that he can tell me what he wants or doesn't want. He's been climbing a lot more lately. In fact, I caught him climbing up on to the kitchen table today. Gee whiz! I'm finding it hard to let him just be a rough and tumble boy and not smother him with my worries, but it's pretty tough. He'll always be my first little one. Poor thing. He'll have to go through so much. After all, he is mommy and daddy's first learning experience. His looks are changing daily it seems. He's quickly losing the baby fat and looks more and more like a little man every day.

Ben is still our little chatterbox. He just smiles, coos, and giggles every time you look at him. He's such a happy baby. He's growing like crazy too. He's wearing 3-6 months clothes and probably won't be in them much longer. He's been consistently eating 8 ounce bottles every four hours. He will go for his four month visit at the pediatrician next week. I gave him cereal for the first time yesterday. Of course, more of it came back out than stayed in, but that was to be expected. He seemed to like the taste anyway. I think he ate more of his bib than the cereal. He loves sucking on his bib and fingers. It's amazing to see how much different his personality is from Grant's so soon. I think Ben is going to be our little comedian. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

Chris had an interview last Friday morning for a potential promotion. He's still waiting to hear whether or not he got it and has been pretty stressed about it. I've never seen him this way about a job interview before. I'm sure he kicked butt! I'm so proud of him regardless. He's such a hard worker and a great daddy to boot. He's been watching the boys and putting them to bed one evening a week so I can go scrapbook at Heather's house until midnight. I love that I am able to have some "me" time. Thanks for being such a great hubby and daddy. Love you, Chrissy.
I've been meaning to post some pictures of our house since me, dad, and Chris worked on the landscaping. It's still a work in progress but it looks much better than it did. Even though we need a bigger house, I still love our little house. It is our first after all, and we have already made so many memories here.

Off to bed I go! I have to get up early in the morning and drag three little boys to Salem to take my car to the dealership. Tomorrow should make for a pretty interesting day. Pray for me!
Jen
